
Cam has been with Catalyst since 1979, is the Managing Partner of the firm and integral part of our Corporate Advisory Services group. His client service focus includes corporate finance, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, transaction support, financial engineering and litigation support with experience in a variety of industries including agribusiness, oilfield services, transportation and land development.
Cam has contributed extensively in a variety of capacities with both the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as with the firm's international association PKF. Cam is currently involved with the Fast and Female Foundation (support of women in sport), the Harvie Conservancy Foundation and the Beachwood Estates Homeowners Association. He has also been involved with High River Minor Hockey, Canadian Country Music Historical Society, High River United Church, High River Economic Development Commission and the Olds College Center for Innovation Board.
Cam has been awarded the ICAA Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his contribution to the Chartered Accounting profession and was recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 1997.
Carl has been with Catalyst since 2006 and is the leader of our Taxation Advisory Services group. His client service focus includes tax planning for shareholders and private companies including structuring shareholdings to achieve tax effective shareholder remuneration, corporate reorganizations to meet various shareholder objectives, estate and succession planning, purchase and sale planning/structuring, employee retention mechanisms and creative transaction planning to minimize taxes. He also has experience with executive compensation planning and structuring.
Carl is a member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Canadian Tax Foundation. Carl is also an active participant in the PKF tax interest group, a group representing the tax interests of PKF member firms across Canada. Carl is actively involved with the Simons Valley Hockey Association as coordinator of the Timbits program and an Atom coach.
In his spare time also enjoys spending time with family out at Shuswap Lake boating and camping.
Terri has been with Catalyst since 1992 and is the leader of our Assurance & Accounting Services group. Her client service focus stems from her expertise in the agriculture industry and includes business consulting, development and implementation of inventory cost systems, family transition of ranching operations, cash flow analysis for cattle operations, and ongoing business planning and financing proposals. Terri’s specialized industry experience in agriculture has resulted in various speaking engagements to cattle industry groups and boards, as well as consulting for Federal Government agribusiness ventures.
Terri is the president of AuditWatch Canada Inc., which provides training to professional accounting firms, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their internal processes.
Terri is a past committee member with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and is currently involved with the Alberta Reined Cow Horse Association and the Alberta Cattle Feeder’s Association.
Chris has been with Catalyst since 2000 and is an integral part of our Assurance & Accounting Services group. His client service focus includes preparation of financial statements and corporate tax with specialized industry experience in manufacturing, professional services, agriculture and retail services.
Chris has completed the CICA in-depth GST course and is a member of the Certified General Accountants Associations of Alberta and Canada and is also an active volunteer with Scouts Canada.
Tim has been with Catalyst since 2003 and is the leader of our Wealth Planning Services group. His client service focus includes tax and financial planning advice to business owners, executives and high net worth individuals across many different industries.
Tim is an active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA) and the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC). He has lectured in front of many organizations and has co-authored several professional growth and development courses for the ICAA with regards to various tax, estate, and financial planning matters.
Tim was a recipient of the ICAA Early Achievement Award for excellence in serving his profession and community for presenting and co-authoring ICAA courses and for his involvement as a head coach of the Special Olympics golf program in Calgary.
Natalie joined Catalyst in 1999, and after a brief break came back and to our Taxation Advisory Services group in 2004. Her client service focus includes core tax (compliance) services including personal, corporate and trust tax filings and tax planning for owner-managed businesses with specialized industry experience in agriculture, oil & gas, construction and Canadian tax matters for clients with international activity. Natalie is a member of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society and the Canadian Tax Foundation. She currently serves as Treasurer for the High River and District Health Care Foundation.
Gerry has been with Catalyst since 1973 as a founding member of the firm. He prides himself on being part of his client’s business team as an advisor beyond the numbers. His specialized industry experience includes oil and gas, agriculture, construction and retail. Gerry is a member of the Alberta and Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants professional committees and University of Calgary Faculty of Business Management Advisory Council. Gerry is very involved in the High River community having been Past President of the High River Rotary and Kinsmen Clubs, coach in the High River Minor Hockey and Ball Associations and a Volunteer Fireman. Gerry was presented as a Paul Harris Fellow by High River Rotary in appreciation of his contributions to both Rotary and his community.
Dave has been with Catalyst since 1999 and is an integral part of our Corporate Advisory Services group. Dave’s specialized industry experience includes agribusiness, oilfield services, transportation and land development.
Dave is a member of both the Canadian Association of Management Consultants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. He is also active with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists and serves on the merger and acquisition task force of the PKF North American Network.
Brock has been with Catalyst since 1999 and is an integral part of our Assurance & Accounting Services group. His client service focus includes advising private family owned corporations regarding the structuring of business holdings, monitoring financially troubled companies, preparing comprehensive cash forecasts, providing input regarding related business plans, due diligence investigations and organization assessment. In addition, Brock provides income tax compliance services for his corporate, personal, and trust clients.
Brock is extensively involved with both the St. John Ambulance Prior of Canada and the St. John Council for Alberta. He has been associated with St. John Ambulance for over 15 years, serving in many capacities including his current position as Vice Chair of Finance for St. John Canada. In addition to his involvement with the business and community services for St. John, Brock is a Knight of the Order of St. John. Brock was a 2008 recipient of the ICAA Distinguished Service Award for his contributions in this capacity.
Brock has also served membership/directorship roles with the National Alpine Training Centre Ski Team, the Panorama Ski Team and Strathcona Tweedsmuir School.
Dave has been with Catalyst since 1998 and is an integral part of our Accounting & Assurance Services group. Dave works extensively with private companies and his client service focus is related to private enterprise and family business with specialized industry knowledge in construction and manufacturing. Beyond the traditional services of tax compliance and financial reporting, Dave’s expertise involves business consulting, the development and implementation of business systems and procedures and transitions of family business to successor generations.
Dave is a past chairman of the Okotoks Economic Development committee and has been an active volunteer in Okotoks minor soccer.
Paige has been with Catalyst since 2002 and is and integral part of our Assurance & Accounting Services group. Her client service focus includes owner managed businesses and not for profit organizations with specialized industry experience in oil and gas, operators and related service industries, and automotive dealerships.
Paige is in charge of implementing Canadian GAAP quality control for Catalyst and is a CASB module marker. She also currently serves as the Treasurer of the Multiple Sclerosis Society - Calgary chapter and is an active tri-athlete.
Wayne has been with Catalyst since 1973 as a founding member of the firm. Now an associate with Catalyst, Wayne continues to provide the firm and our clients with his expertise. His client service and industry focus includes all aspects of the Agriculture and Ag-Services Industries, personal Tax planning and preparation, estate and will planning.
David became a partner with Catalyst in 2008 as a co-owner of Catalyst Wealth Planning Inc. With over 20 years experience in the financial services industry David has a broad range of expertise in the design and implementation of wealth planning solutions. He takes a comprehensive approach to wealth management helping people make well-informed decisions about their personal/business investments and retirement plans. He has demonstrated a consistent ability to protect, preserve and increase the hard earned assets of clients. David is an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is also a member of The Financial Advisors Association and Financial Planners Standards Council.
Cameron Wallace recently joined the Real Estate Advisory Services group at Catalyst bringing 34 years of experience in the residential land development industry. His real estate advisory services include: acquisition of real estate, municipal approvals, property assessment appeals, due diligence assistance, dispute resolution and strategic solutions.
Cameron received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Calgary and his MBA from University of Phoenix. Aside from his 34 years in the residential land development industry, Cameron also has 12 years of public service experience serving on the Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal Board, Calgary Planning Commission and the Municipal Government Board and has also been a volunteer at the Calgary Dream Centre and Westside King’s Church.
